- KATflow 170 flowmeters are designed for accurate measurements of the flow of liquids and liquefied gases in pressure pipelines without tapping into the pipeline in explosive Zones 1 and 2. The KATflow 170 flow meter transmitter is designed for stationary use. The flow meter contains a variety of input and output port options that meet a variety of measurement requirements.
- The flow measurement is based on the principle of the influence of a moving medium on sound waves. Measurements are carried out by irradiating the tube with ultrasound and then evaluating the time differences, frequency changes and phase shift of ultrasonic signals. This method of measurement does not affect the flowing fluid, does not reduce the pressure in the pipe and does not lead to wear of the components of the measuring device.
